Ministries at Salem
Ways to Serve
No church can fulfill its calling to bring God’s light and hope to the world if its members do not serve. In the same way, no Christian can have a truly deep and meaningful connection to Christ and the church if they do not use the time and talents God has given them in the service of others.
At Salem, we are committed to the Bible’s teaching that we should follow the example of Jesus in loving and serving others. Everyone who would like to serve at Salem is welcome to do so. Some volunteer for ongoing ministries such as singing in the choir, serving on the hospitality team, or keeping our properties in good repair. Some serve behind the scenes on boards and committees that organize and help implement our missions programs, educational programs, and the like. Some volunteer for individual events like the Sausage Supper, Random Acts of Kindness, and other stand-alone festivities.
Whatever your skill level and time availability, there is a place at Salem for you to make a difference by serving. If you’re interested in serving, we’d not only be happy to have you, we’d love to help you find that place where you find joy in bringing joy to others. Contact the church office or speak with Rev. Jeremy to find out more about how you can serve at Salem.
