How long is a worship service?
A typical service at Salem is about 60 minutes. On the first
Sunday of the month and on other special occasions when we have Communion, they are closer to 75 minutes.
How do I get to Salem?
We are located at 1117 W. North Street in Alhambra, Illinois.
From St. Louis, take I-55N towards Chicago/Springfield. Take IL-140 exit. Turn right onto IL-140. Go for 4.9 miles. Turn left onto Clay Street. Turn right onto W. North Street.
What if I don’t know where to go?
As soon as you walk through the front door, a member of
our Hospitality Team will be there to greet you and help with any questions you may have.
Is there a dress code?
There is no dress code. We believe that God cares about our hearts, not what we wear. So whether you feel comfortable in a suit or dress, or in shorts and flip-flops, you are welcome here.
What about my kids?
Children are an important part of Salem! Sunday School starts at 9 am in the Educational Building. During worship, we usually have “Time with the Children” where all children are encouraged to come to the front of the sanctuary for a special talk with Rev. Jeremy. If your little one needs a break during worship, our nursery is the perfect retreat. It’s open to parents and children during worship, and you can also watch the service on the screen. There are worship activity bags for children in the back of the church.
What door do I go in?
The main door is right at the front of the church, under the bell tower and steeple. That’s a great place to start.
